How to Create a Website in 2019 [Zimbabwe Guide]

Creating your own website may seem hard and complex at first sight. Since the internet is full of different guides and manuals dedicated to this particular topic, some of you may be confused or misled by wrongly interpreted information.

I have a question for you, my dear reader! Aren’t you tired of nonsense articles on how to build a website? Don’t you find them useless and not detailed enough? NO WORRIES, Akoiweb to the rescue!

Start in MS Word

Come up with a solid site plan and purpose. Why do you want a website? To be fancy? To get new clientele? To sell a number of products? The answer to these questions will start the building blocks for the new website. For instance, if you are planning to sell products online there is no use in having an informative website, you need a catalog or an e-commerce site – one that allows for people to pay online to receive goods. If you merely want to tell people about the company offerings you need an informative website (most common).

You are encouraged to visit your competitor sites, to get an idea of the structure of the site. Chances are others have tried different ways of displaying the information and they now know what works and what doe not. This is to serve only as an industry guide. Come up with your own Homepage, About us, Contact Us pages. Surely your web design company of choice can help you with this BUT ultimately you know best about your company.
